Amy Curran - Podiatrist Foot Fac

Sports Podiatrist: Amy Curran

We are very pleased to welcome Amy to the Foot Factor team

Amy brings a high level of expertise and knowledge to Foot Factor where she will be utilising her skills in gait analysis, 3D scanning and the creation of orthoses for our clients.

Specialist qualifications

Amy qualified as a Podiatrist with a first-class honours degree from the University of Southampton. She went on to complete an Arthritis Research UK internship at the same university, investigating the self-management of osteoarthritis. This was followed by a Masters degree in Podiatric Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University in London, where she specialised in patellofemoral pain (knee pain).

Since completing her academic studies Amy has been practicing in private clinic in London and the West Country focusing on foot and ankle musculoskeletal conditions.

Sports podiatry

As a keen sports person Amy enjoys cycling and volleyball, having represented England junior ladies volleyball team. This experience gives her a unique insight and understanding of sports injury, the role that orthotics play and how they can both relieve pain and enhance performance.
